Staff Engineer, SSD NVMQRA Test Development Engineering
Role Summary
Drive development of AI-agent-powered platforms for SSD validation, reliability testing, and qualification. Build autonomous agents, orchestration, analytics, and tooling to accelerate qualification workflows, failure analysis, and engineering decision-making.
Partner with Test Development, Qualification Engineering, Reliability, Product, Systems, Data Science, and IT to deliver scalable agentic solutions that increase automation and improve product quality.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 5+ years software engineering experience and demonstrated GenAI/LLM development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing, building, and deploying AI-driven test development and qualification workflows and tools.
- Develop AI agents and copilots to automate SSD test development, validation, and qualification activities.
- Implement automated test code generation, test-case recommendation, coverage analysis, and requirement-to-test traceability.
- Design agent-based workflows for qualification planning, execution coordination, readiness assessment, and reporting.
- Create AI-driven failure analysis tools to analyze logs, detect patterns, recommend root causes, and suggest corrective actions.
- Apply AI/ML techniques to optimize test coverage, remove redundant tests, and predict reliability risks.
- Build RAG/GenAI-based copilots that surface specifications, methodologies, and technical documentation.
- Develop scalable analytics platforms to process qualification, reliability, telemetry, and test execution data.
- Establish AI governance, evaluation, benchmarking, and deployment best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, software developers, and data scientists to integrate agentic solutions into SSD qualification processes.
