Staff Engineer, Product Applications - LDO
Role Summary
Provide technical leadership for LDO product applications within the High-Performance Power Business. Support product development and maturity by creating reference designs, demos, documentation, and training, and by working with marketing, sales, and customers to define product requirements.
Work cross-functionally to solve design challenges and drive product adoption in industrial, automotive, communications, or consumer markets.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. Posting requires an MSEE and at least 3 years of relevant experience; title indicates staff-level responsibility.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Provide engineering support for new and mature LDO products.
- Develop demonstration systems, reference designs and evaluation hardware.
- Use bench measurements, simulation, and mathematical analysis to evaluate designs and products.
- Create customer-facing collateral: datasheets, simulation models, application notes, demos and presentations.
- Develop and deliver technical training and demonstrations for field personnel and customers.
- Engage with marketing, sales, and customers to capture market and technical requirements.
- Define product requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and expectations:
- Strong analog circuit and power electronics expertise, specifically with LDOs, topologies, control theory and applications.
- Experience analyzing, designing, and debugging LDOs and power-management circuits.
- Proficiency with math and simulation tools for modeling and problem solving.
- Domain experience in at least one area: industrial, automotive, communications, or consumer applications.
- Track record of defining, releasing, and supporting technical products to market.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work with sales, applications, and customers.
- Self-motivated with demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% and work standard day shift.
Education Requirements
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) required, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
