Staff Engineer - Power Management IC Design
Senior technical role responsible for defining, designing, verifying, and documenting mixed-signal power management integrated circuits (PMICs), with emphasis on controller ICs and integrated high-current power stages for compute, data center, automotive, and industrial applications.
Works across the full design flow: architecture, circuit design and simulation, layout oversight, silicon bring-up, characterization, and debug. Provides technical leadership and mentoring within the PMIC design team.
Senior β typically 6+ years of relevant analog, mixed-signal, or power management IC design experience. Candidates with advanced degrees may qualify with fewer years of experience (see Education Requirements).
Primary responsibilities include owning design blocks and driving their implementation through silicon.
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in the role.
Nice-to-have: experience with control theory, multiphase buck controllers, high-accuracy analog front ends, very-low-power references, high-speed/high-drive circuits, behavioral modeling, electro-migration and transistor reliability, and mixed-signal verification techniques.
One of the following is expected: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) plus 6+ years of relevant analog/mixed-signal or PMIC design experience; OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) plus 4+ years of relevant experience; OR PhD in Electrical Engineering (or related field) plus 2+ years of relevant experience. The posting also allows related fields of study.
