Role Summary
Join Arm's Solutions Engineering group to develop and deploy power-delivery network (PDN) electrical sign-off methodologies for advanced SoCs and multi-die integrations. The role focuses on improving implementation accuracy and yield, defining sign-off flows, and turning R&D concepts into production-ready solutions used by internal and partner design teams.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 7+ years of relevant experience in ASIC implementation, PDN/EM/IR, physical design and sign-off on advanced process nodes.
Responsibilities
Deliver and deploy PDN sign-off methodologies and support implementation and analysis across chip projects.
- Develop PDN sign-off methodologies for advanced process nodes and 2.5D/3D technologies.
- Perform static and dynamic PDN/power-distribution analysis, electro-migration (EM) and ESD sign-off activities.
- Create implementation flows that balance accuracy and silicon yield.
- Build data-mining and analysis methods to improve implementation results and debug sign-off issues.
- Convert R&D concepts into practical implementation solutions and production flows.
- Collaborate with block- and top-level design teams and external partners to enable high quality results.
- Promote and adopt new silicon implementation techniques across international teams.
Requirements
Core technical skills and proven experience required; listed separately from educational expectations.
Must-have:
- 7+ years experience in ASIC implementation, EM/IR analysis, PDN design, physical design and STA on advanced nodes.
- Proven experience across the IC design flow from RTL to GDSII and with block/top-level implementation and sign-off flows.
- Experience developing and deploying sign-off methodologies and improving implementation efficiency.
- Strong scripting and programming skills (examples: Tcl, Perl, Python, Make).
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and experience working with international teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Arm-based SoC architectures.
- Experience with additional languages and data-presentation tools (C/C++, Java, R, JS, Ruby, shell scripting, etc.).
- Experience with low-power design techniques (power gating, voltage/frequency scaling).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience accepted.
