Staff Engineer, Mixed Signal Design
Role Summary
Join the ATE group in Wilmington, MA as a Staff Mixed Signal Design Engineer responsible for IC development of high-speed, fine-line analog CMOS products and chiplet-level system designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, implement mixed-signal circuits, and drive integration into production test solutions.
This position includes standard company benefits and a discretionary performance-based bonus. Required travel: approximately 10%.
Experience Level
Senior (Staff-level). The posting specifies 5+ years of relevant experience; the title denotes staff/senior-level responsibility.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, design, and integration of mixed-signal and high-speed analog systems:
- Lead system and circuit architecture for complex mixed-signal ICs.
- Design wireline transmitters and receivers and apply wireline equalization (analog & digital).
- Develop mixed-mode DFE, clock & data recovery (CDR), and VCO/PLL circuits.
- Design custom high-speed digital circuits and digitally-assisted high-speed analog blocks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for chiplet and system integration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
- Present design concepts and results to stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical and professional qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system design/architecture and design integration.
- Proven experience in RF or high-speed CMOS and/or data converter design.
- Expertise in FinFET processes (e.g., 16nm, 5nm) or fine-line planar analog CMOS (e.g., 28nm).
- Experience with software-defined CMOS communications or radar system design.
- Proficiency with digitally-assisted high-speed analog design.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred.
