Role Summary
Lead engineering support activities for customers in the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) market. Provide technical guidance on component usage, circuit and layout design, and system-level integration for semiconductor test systems.
Work with global product and development teams to resolve customer issues, drive demand creation, investigate new requirements for signal-chain components, and coordinate customer-facing events in Japan.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting customers through product and system development and coordinating with global teams.
- Provide technical support during customer system development: component usage, specifications, circuit and PCB layout advice.
- Collaborate with Product Line and global development teams for problem solving and program coordination.
- Investigate new customer requirements and support demand-creation for standard analog signal-chain components.
- Plan and facilitate customer visits and events when product teams travel to Japan.
- Perform IC and circuit characteristic evaluation using standard laboratory measurement equipment and prepare customer responses.
- Lead technical proposals and requirements investigations for general-purpose analog signal-processing products.
- Plan and manage activities that involve coordination with overseas development organizations.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, language ability, and relevant experience.
- Fluent Japanese for everyday email and one-on-one online meetings; functional English for cross-border collaboration.
- 5+ years of experience as a field applications engineer for semiconductor analog products.
- Ability to evaluate IC/circuit performance with lab measurement instruments and produce technical customer responses.
- Practical knowledge and application of analog circuit building blocks: op amps, converters, switches, references, clocks, interfaces, and sensors.
- System design experience for semiconductor test systems (ATE).
- Circuit design experience related to semiconductor test systems.
- Experience in ASIC design, development, or support for semiconductor test systems.
- Required travel: approximately 25% of the time.
Education Requirements
