Senior Staff Design Engineer

Role Summary

Lead technical development and validation of circuit models for Lattice FPGA products. The role combines hands-on modeling and simulation with leadership of a team of modeling engineers and collaboration with ASIC/FPGA design teams and internal model consumers.

Senior-level; requires 10+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities involve developing accurate, efficient models and ensuring they meet product and internal customer requirements.

• Lead development and validation of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit models.
• Use simulation tools and hardware description languages (SPICE, Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog or similar) for analysis and verification.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor a team of circuit modeling engineers.
• Collaborate with design engineers and model consumers to capture requirements and deliver usable models.
• Analyze simulation results and recommend design or model improvements.
• Optimize models for performance, accuracy, and simulation efficiency.
• Document modeling processes, assumptions, and results for stakeholders.
• Monitor and adopt advances in circuit modeling techniques and tools.

Requirements

• Must-have: Proven experience in circuit modeling and simulation.
• Must-have: Proficiency with simulation and HDL tools such as SPICE, Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, or equivalent.
• Must-have: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective verbal and written communication.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of semiconductor devices and circuit design principles.

Education Requirements
