Role Summary

Technical lead responsible for strategy, scaling and day-to-day execution of emulation infrastructure for high-performance CPU and AI products. Work spans emulation build systems, performance tuning, regression workflows, and cross-functional debug to enable silicon bring-up, validation, and customer-ready systems.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include leading emulation engineering and supporting hardware bring-up:

• Define technical strategy and lead execution to scale and optimize emulation infrastructure across commercial and open-source platforms.
• Build and maintain reliable emulation build and deployment workflows.
• Design and tune large-scale emulation regressions that reflect real customer workloads.
• Lead complex cross-functional debug and root-cause analysis for SoC and CPU issues.
• Improve emulation performance and regression throughput in collaboration with design verification teams and tool vendors.
• Collaborate with silicon bring-up, validation, and customer engineering teams to enable product readiness.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on emulation and verification practices.

Requirements

• Must-have: Strong background in CPU verification, emulation, and debug for complex SoC designs.
• Must-have: Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Must-have: Proven experience driving complex debug efforts and mentoring engineers.
• Must-have: Experience working with emulation workflows, regression design, and performance tuning.
• Must-have: Ability to collaborate with design, verification, and third-party tool vendors.
• Must-have: This role is hybrid and based in Austin, TX; ability to work on-site as required.
• Must-have: Employment may be contingent on eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology (citizenship/permanent residency or ability to obtain required license).
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Zebu emulation platforms and commercial vendor tooling.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience optimizing emulation across varied hardware platforms.
