Role Summary

The Staff Engineer designs, verifies and standardizes package layouts for advanced 2.5D/3D systems. Based in the Hardware Engineering team in Bengaluru, the role focuses on DFM/DFA, signal and power delivery integrity, and improving departmental design efficiency.

Senior β€” typically requires 9+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Define, design and verify package designs for 2.5D and 3D systems.
  • Create layouts following DFM/DFA best practices and manage signal and power delivery networks.
  • Work with minimal supervision; adapt to loosely defined problems and changing requirements.
  • Drive standardization across designs and improve team efficiency and methodologies.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external vendors and stakeholders.

Requirements

Required and preferred skills:

Must-have:

  • Experience with 2.5D and 3D package systems and associated SI/PI requirements.
  • 9+ years' recent experience using Cadence APD and Allegro toolsets.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to process standardization.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with EDA vendor collaboration, tool evaluation, and issue resolution.
  • Programming experience in Python, SKILL or TCL.
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience optimizing packaging design methodologies.

Education Requirements

Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience (degree level not specified). Candidate may also qualify with equivalent technical experience.
