Job Title
Staff Engineer - ASIC SOC Verification
Role Summary
Lead SoC verification planning and development of SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments and tests for SoC and test-controller blocks. Collaborate with architecture, design, and test teams to define verification goals and enable functional characterization on silicon.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 7+ years of SOC/IP verification experience (SystemVerilog/UVM preferred).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include creating verification plans, developing testcases and automation, and supporting silicon bring-up and ATE characterization.
- Create SoC verification plans and implement SystemVerilog/UVM-based SoC tests.
- Develop SV/UVM testcases for test controller verification, MBIST verification, and functional vector generation.
- Implement SV/UVM monitors and metrics to measure performance and improve the verification environment.
- Analyze SoC and test-controller architecture to derive verification requirements.
- Coordinate with architecture, design, and tester teams to identify required ASIC test vectors and functional patterns.
- Develop automation and flows to accelerate verification environment development and drive team execution.
- Participate in vector bring-up and support ATE/test teams for functional characterization and silicon debug.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; a short list of desirable skills follows.
-
Must-have: 7+ years of SOC/IP verification experience using SystemVerilog and UVM.
-
Must-have: Proven experience with ATE/functional vector enablement on silicon/wafers and vector debug.
-
Must-have: Strong scripting skills (Python, Perl, TCL) and experience automating verification flows.
-
Must-have: Solid verification skills: constrained-random testing, debugging, and problem solving.
-
Must-have: Familiarity with MBIST, test-controller, and DFT concepts.
-
Must-have: Good written and verbal communication skills.
-
Must-have: Proficient in using AI tools and methodologies for verification workflows.
-
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of industry interfaces such as PCIe, LPDDR, ONFI/NAND.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
