Job Title
Staff Engineer - ASIC SoC Verification
Role Summary
Lead verification of ASIC SoC blocks and system-level verification for test controller and MBIST features. Work with architecture, design, and test teams to define verification plans, develop SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and automation, and support silicon bring-up and ATE functional characterization.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 7+ years of SoC/IP verification experience, with hands-on SystemVerilog/UVM work.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing verification strategies, implementing verification environments and tests, and supporting silicon bring-up and test activities.
- Create SoC verification plans and implement SystemVerilog/UVM-based SoC verification tests.
- Develop and validate test controller, MBIST, and functional vector testcases and monitors.
- Analyze SoC and test controller architecture to derive verification requirements and scenarios.
- Automate verification environment setup, test execution, and result collection.
- Coordinate with Architecture, Design, and ATE/Tester teams to enable vectors and support functional characterization on silicon/wafers.
- Debug verification failures and silicon issues; drive improvements in verification coverage and performance.
Requirements
Must-have skills are listed first; desirable skills follow.
-
Must-have: 7+ years of SOC/IP verification experience using SystemVerilog and UVM.
-
Must-have: Strong experience with test controller, MBIST, and DFT concepts and verification.
-
Must-have: Proven experience with ATE/functional vector enablement and silicon/wafter debug.
-
Must-have: Proficient scripting skills (Python, Perl, TCL) for automation and flow development.
-
Must-have: Solid verification skills: constrained-random testing, monitors, coverage-driven verification, and debugging.
-
Must-have: Good written and oral communication and the ability to work cross-functionally.
-
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of industry interfaces such as PCIe, LPDDR, ONFI/NAND.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
