Staff Engineer – Architecture Validation
Role Summary
Lead the delivery of validation frameworks, tooling, and automation to ensure the correctness and quality of Arm architecture specifications, models, and published deliverables. Partner with architects, modeling teams, and tooling owners to define validation strategy, resolve specification ambiguities, and enable reliable architecture releases.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of relevant experience in architecture modeling, validation, or related domains.
Responsibilities
Accountable for architecture validation, tooling improvements, and cross-team coordination to deliver high-quality architecture outputs.
- Lead architecture validation and support integration across multiple architecture components.
- Analyze architecture specifications, identify ambiguities or gaps, and drive resolution with architects.
- Design and enhance validation tooling, automation, and scalable frameworks.
- Perform debugging and root-cause analysis for complex specification and model issues.
- Collaborate with architects, authors, and modeling engineers to align architecture data with intent.
- Own and champion validation activities to deliver high-quality architecture releases to internal and external partners.
- Mentor and guide engineers, promoting technical excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience to execute and lead architecture validation work.

Programming: Strong skills in C/C++ and Python.

CPU knowledge: Solid understanding of CPU architecture and assembly programming.

Validation & debugging: Proven experience validating, debugging, and analysing complex issues across specifications and models.

Collaboration: Excellent cross-team communication and problem-solving abilities.

System reasoning: Ability to reason about machine-readable architecture representations and validation logic across the specification generation pipeline.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Arm Architecture or Arm CPUs.
- Background in embedded software or system-level modeling and validation.
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based tools for engineering productivity, automation, validation, or debugging.
- Familiarity with toolchain development, modeling frameworks, formal verification, or architecture simulation tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree (B.Tech./B.S. or M.Tech./M.S.) in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from a recognised institution (as stated in the posting).
