Role Summary
Customer-facing technical lead for Synopsys Security IP who guides system architects and engineering teams through security architecture, product evaluations, and design trade-offs. Works with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and account teams to position Security IP solutions and drive customer adoption.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The role expects approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor IP, SoC/ASIC development, embedded systems, hardware security, or related fields.
Responsibilities
Lead technical engagements and act as the primary technical adviser for Security IP opportunities across the sales cycle.
- Lead technical discovery, architecture discussions, product demonstrations, evaluations, and definition of success criteria with customers.
- Serve as technical lead for security IP opportunities, mapping customer requirements to Synopsys solutions.
- Advise on cryptographic accelerators, Root of Trust, PUFs, PQC, and interface security technologies.
- Engage system architects, security teams, hardware designers, and firmware developers to define technical solutions.
- Develop differentiated technical proposals and deliver workshops, presentations, and demos highlighting technical value and competitive differentiation.
- Collaborate with account teams to define technical strategy for strategic opportunities.
- Relay customer requirements, market trends, and enhancement requests to Product Management and R&D.
- Represent the company at industry events, customer workshops, and technical forums; contribute to internal enablement and best practices.
Requirements
Must-have technical and customer-facing skills for success in this role.
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor IP, ASIC/SoC development, embedded systems, hardware security, or related technical areas.
- Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills; experience engaging architects, designers, and executive stakeholders.
- Understanding of semiconductor design methodologies and SoC development processes.
- Ability to interpret complex customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-driven and able to manage multiple customer engagements.
- Willingness to travel as required to support customer engagements.
Nice-to-have:
- Applied cryptography experience.
- Hardware security architecture, secure boot, Root of Trust, PUFs, or PQC experience.
- Background with embedded processors, firmware, security certifications/compliance, security protocol implementations, or semiconductor IP business models and technical sales.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (BS or MS).
