Staff Engineer, Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design - TPG
Role Summary
As a Staff Engineer in Micron’s Design Engineering Group (DEG) you will design and verify analog and mixed-signal circuits for DRAM products. You will collaborate with global design, verification, process integration, and product teams to take circuit designs from concept to silicon and improve product performance, quality, and reliability.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design, optimize, and verify block-level analog and mixed-signal circuits for DRAM projects.
- Compare silicon performance with simulation results and support silicon–simulation correlation activities.
- Collaborate with process integration and modeling teams on new process node development.
- Provide layout guidance and perform post-layout simulation with global design teams.
- Work with cross-functional teams to debug circuits and improve design quality.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in mixed-signal, digital, or analog IC design.
- Experience designing regulators, charge pumps, oscillators, current references, bandgaps, or comparators.
- Proficiency with SPICE and Verilog modeling and simulation.
- Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Extensive mixed-signal/analog IC design experience (examples listed as preferred: MSEE +5 years or BSEE +10 years).
- 3+ years of circuit debugging with cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience with UNIX and the Cadence design environment (schematic, simulation, SPF extraction).
- Familiarity with Synopsys tools.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (posting specifies BSEE with 2+ years of semiconductor design or manufacturing experience). Preferred: MSEE with 5+ years of mixed-signal/analog IC design experience, or BSEE with 10+ years of mixed-signal/analog IC design experience.
