Staff Electrical Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior analog IC designer on the Rad Hard Precision Design Group responsible for designing precision analog and power-management integrated circuits for Space markets. Projects include references, comparators, temperature sensors, low-power op-amps, LDOs and related mixed-signal circuits.
Work as a contributor from concept through production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet performance, schedule, and manufacturability goals. Location: Palm Bay, FL (position also may be located in Research Triangle Park, NC).

Responsibilities
Deliver high-performance analog and mixed-signal ASIC designs and support their transition to production.
- Contribute across the development lifecycle from product concept, design, and simulation to silicon validation and production.
- Define macro specifications, interfaces, and physical implementation in collaboration with team members.
- Create clear design documentation and provide technical reviews of peers' documentation.
- Manage design schedules and deliverables to meet project timelines.
- Perform silicon evaluation, circuit debugging, production test development, and provide customer/applications support as needed.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience required or strongly preferred for successful performance in this role.
- Proven experience in analog integrated circuit design, analysis, and simulation.
- Knowledge of bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD process technologies.
- Design experience in high-precision analog circuits (amplifiers, comparators, regulators, oscillators, references).
- Experience with Cadence tools for analog design and mixed-signal simulation.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and silicon validation techniques.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time; strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Nice to have: experience with radiation-hardened products.
- Plus: analog behavioral modeling in Verilog-A/Verilog-AMS and MATLAB.
Education Requirements
MSEE (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) with 6+ years of relevant industry experience, or PhD with 4+ years of relevant industry experience. (Degrees and years are specified by the employer.)
