Staff DV Engineer
Role Summary
Verify digital ASIC blocks for satellite and wireless telephony products as part of a design verification team. You will develop and execute UVM-based verification environments, write tests and test plans, debug RTL simulations, and lead block-level verification activities to drive coverage closure.
Work with RTL designers and system engineers to deliver robust, production-quality silicon in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 6+ years of design verification experience in the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain UVM verification environments and testbenches for ASIC RTL.
- Write, run, and debug verification tests to validate digital blocks.
- Create and contribute to verification test plans and strategies.
- Perform RTL simulation debug and root-cause analysis independently.
- Lead block-level design verification efforts and coordinate with RTL teams.
- Drive code-coverage and functional-coverage closure for assigned blocks.
- Implement verification utilities in C/C++ and scripting languages as needed.
- Leverage AI tools and automation to accelerate verification where applicable.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Strong proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience writing tests within an existing UVM verification environment and solid understanding of UVM architecture.
- Ability to debug RTL simulations and maintain verification tests.
- Experience leading verification efforts and driving coverage closure at the block level.
- Proficiency writing C/C++ for verification and scripting experience in Python or Perl.
- 6+ years of design verification experience in the semiconductor industry.
Nice-to-have:
- VHDL knowledge.
- Experience with AI-assisted verification or automation tooling.
