Staff DRAM Semiconductor Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and optimize digital, analog, and memory circuits for advanced DRAM products. Work within a global design and verification organization and partner with Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing to deliver manufacturable, reliable memory solutions.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities focus on circuit design, validation, and cross-functional product execution.
- Design, analyze, and optimize memory, logic, and analog circuits for new product development.
- Perform circuit validation, parasitic modeling, reticle experiments, and tape-out revisions to improve performance and manufacturability.
- Lead layout activities including floorplanning, placement, routing, verification, modeling, and simulation using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering to ensure successful product execution.
- Drive innovation for future memory technologies and promote design quality and standardization across global teams.
- This role does not include finalizing sales agreements, executing or authorizing contracts, participating in pricing negotiations, or making contract-termination decisions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution; preferred items indicate additional value.
- Must-have: Solid understanding of CMOS circuit development and semiconductor device physics.
- Must-have: Experience with power network analysis and circuit optimization techniques.
- Must-have: Experience with Verilog modeling, simulation tools, state machine design, and design verification/debugging.
- Must-have: Ability to perform semiconductor circuit analysis and validate designs through simulation and testing.
- Preferred: Memory experience (DRAM, NAND, or similar memory technologies).
- Preferred: Understanding of semiconductor layout processes (floorplanning, placement, routing) and experience with industry-standard simulation/verification environments.
- Preferred: Strong communication and collaboration skills in a global engineering environment.
- Preferred: Exposure to AI-enabled tools for semiconductor development, analysis, or engineering workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related) with 10+ years' industry experience; OR M.Sc. with 7+ years' industry experience; OR Ph.D. with 5+ years' industry experience. Equivalent practical experience is accepted where stated.
