Job Title
Staff Digital Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead design and verification of digital blocks and subsystems for ASIC products. Work with system architects, verification, DFT, PD and silicon teams to define micro-architecture, implement RTL, close timing and support silicon bring-up.
Experience Level
Senior — 6–15 years of relevant experience; at least 3 years owning a block or subsystem.
Responsibilities
Accountable for block/subsystem delivery across design, verification and silicon support.
- Develop block/subsystem specifications in alignment with product goals.
- Translate specifications into optimized micro-architecture for digital blocks.
- Implement and debug RTL using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Work with DV team to develop test plans and perform block-level verification.
- Create timing constraints, perform synthesis and timing closure activities.
- Coordinate with DFT and power delivery teams for signoff readiness.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers; own parts of a subsystem.
- Support silicon validation and product evaluation, including silicon debug.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; followed by desirable additions.
- 6–15 years of relevant digital design/verification experience with block/subsystem ownership for at least 3 years.
- Strong hands-on RTL coding and debugging skills (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
- Deep understanding of digital logic design: control-intensive, data-path, and multi-domain clocking.
- Experience with timing constraints development, synthesis and LEC; expertise in critical path timing closure.
- Experience with digital subsystem and full-chip integration.
- Experience working with DFT and power delivery processes toward signoff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience mentoring engineers.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Nice-to-have: digital signal processing and MATLAB modeling, processor subsystem design, advanced silicon debug experience.
Education Requirements
BE/BS/M.Tech/M.E/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field from a reputed institute.
