Staff Digital Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for planning and executing digital verification for memory interface data buffer chips (DDR5/DDR6). Works on UVM-based system- and block-level verification, testbench development, coverage, and verification strategy within the memory interface products team.

Experience Level

Senior-level; typically requires 6–8+ years of professional verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Verify DDR6 (and DDR5) data buffer blocks to meet functional and performance specifications.
• Integrate and test at system and block levels using UVM methodology.
• Define and execute verification plans, tests, coverage goals, and checkers.
• Develop reusable, high-performance verification environments and testbenches.
• Optimize UVM testbenches for reusability and performance; maintain verification infrastructure.
• Own verification environments and assigned verification tools as expert user.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure testability and requirement compliance.
• Monitor and report verification status and coverage; participate in feasibility studies and process improvements.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Proven experience with UVM-based verification at block and system level.
• Experience verifying memory interfaces and data buffer designs (DDR5/DDR6).
• Ability to develop verification plans, coverage goals, tests, and checkers.
• Experience building reusable verification environments and testbench structures.
• Track record of ownership for verification environments and tools; ability to communicate status to management.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with memory interface products for datacenter/high-performance computing applications.

Education Requirements

Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 6+ years of experience; or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 8+ years of experience. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
