Staff DevOps/Automation Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Fast Models DevOps & QA team to build and maintain automation, CI/CD, and release infrastructure for large-scale C/C++ software used with Arm architectures. The role supports internal developer teams and improves tooling and workflows that enable product-quality releases.

Senior β requires strong senior-level experience; the posting requests a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on automation, build and release engineering, and cross-team support.
- Collaborate with developer teams to diagnose and resolve build, infrastructure, and test issues.
- Design, automate, and optimise CI/CD workflows and pipelines.
- Coordinate and support release activities across teams and stakeholders.
- Analyse test results and data to drive quality improvements and inform engineering decisions.
- Improve release workflows and contribute to modernising tooling and automation infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain build systems for large-scale C/C++ software projects.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for immediate impact.
- Minimum 10+ years of proven experience in software build, test, or release engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and test automation development.
- Proven experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and leading large projects.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles.
- Comfortable working in Linux environments via CLI and scripting.
- Experience designing and maintaining build systems for large C/C++ codebases.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience driving efficiency and quality improvements in large software projects.
- Familiarity with Conan, Groovy scripting, and Jenkins DSL.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud automation (Boto3, Pulumi, Terraform).
- Containerisation and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS/AKS).
- Experience with data analytics and dashboarding solutions.
