Staff Design Verification Infrastructure Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and maintain the Verification Platform used across the company, including VIPs, AIPs, and reusable testbench components. Collaborate with design verification teams to integrate components into a Chisel-based verification flow and scale verification infrastructure for SoC projects.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 7+ years of relevant design verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Architect, develop, and maintain a scalable Verification Platform for design verification and validation activities.
• Develop platform libraries in Scala/Chisel for test harnesses, stimulus, scoreboards, and generators.
• Implement VIPs, AIPs, and other testbench components using SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Create test plans and testbenches and verify/release testbench components with high quality.
• Educate and guide design verification and validation teams on best practices and platform usage.

Requirements

Must-have and nice-to-have skills:

• Must-have: Strong design verification experience with SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Must-have: Experience designing and verifying VIPs, AIPs, and other testbench components.
• Must-have: Solid software engineering practices applied to verification infrastructure.
• Must-have: Experience developing test plans and robust testbenches.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Chisel and Scala; familiarity with Python.
• Nice-to-have: Understanding of EDA tools and verification flows, and familiarity with build systems, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

Education Requirements

Typical education listed: BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
