Job Title
Staff Design Verification Engineer, HBM Architecture
Role Summary
Lead verification architecture and delivery for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products, focusing on scalable IP- and SoC-level verification solutions for 2.5D/3D HBM stacks. Work within a multi-functional team that includes design, product, and customer engineering to reduce verification cycle time and improve quality.
Experience Level
Senior β requires at least 7+ years of relevant verification engineering experience (see Requirements for details).
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities focus on verification strategy, execution, and cross-team coordination across IP and SoC scopes.
- Define and deliver verification plans, architecture collateral, and turnkey verification solutions for IP- and SoC-level projects.
- Drive co-verification with customers, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with design and product teams to resolve issues.
- Mentor early-career engineers and strengthen team capability and processes.
- Develop verification methodology improvements (including GenAI-assisted tooling) aligned to HBM design cycles to improve schedules and quality.
- Debug and root-cause pre-silicon and post-silicon issues; evaluate feasibility of new architectures for future products.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills.
- 7+ years of verification engineering experience with experience across digital, analog, or mixed-signal verification domains.
- Over 5 years working with digital (Verilog), analog (FastSpice), or mixed-signal verification (co-sims or real-number modeling).
- Over 4 years working in custom schematic-based verification or RTL design verification flows.
- Proven ability to independently define and drive verification strategies for complex projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience interacting with external customers.
-
Nice-to-have: patents or publications demonstrating innovation in verification; hands-on experience with memory products using JEDEC specifications (preferably HBM); experience building or reworking verification flows from scratch; familiarity with 2.5D/3D package integration and TSV technology.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree in those fields is preferred or equivalent practical experience may be acceptable (the posting states "or equivalent experience").
