Staff Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The Staff Design Verification Engineer will lead verification efforts for highly configurable RISC-V CPU cores and related IP, ensuring designs meet architect intent and quality targets. The role sits on the verification team working with architects, RTL designers, and system engineers to validate functionality for advanced applications such as autonomous driving, 5G, wearables, and IoT.

Responsibilities
Work with architects and RTL teams to define and execute verification plans and measure coverage to closure.
- Adopt and apply modern verification methodologies to in-house designs.
- Create test plans, develop unit and system-level testbenches, and generate tests.
- Execute tests, perform failure analysis, and debug RTL/verification issues.
- Measure and improve verification quality via coverage and other metrics.
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure the design implements the architect's intent.

- Minimum ~5 years of relevant verification or design verification experience.
- Direct experience with CPU cache hierarchy, cache coherency, and memory consistency (preferred).
- Strong understanding of verification flow: test plan creation, test generation, failure analysis, coverage analysis, and closure.
- Functional programming experience is helpful but not required.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills and strong analytical ability.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence across disciplines.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is specified.
