Staff Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Design Verification Engineer responsible for verification of memory controller functional units, collaborating with performance modeling, validation and implementation teams to meet functional and PPA goals.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 7+ years of relevant experience in microprocessor, SoC, memory controller and/or interconnect IP design and verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing and executing unit-level verification for memory controller blocks.
- Develop SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches for unit-level memory controller verification.
- Create and maintain detailed verification plans and functional coverage.
- Generate and run test cases on logic simulation models and analyze results.
- Debug functional errors in RTL using simulation and debug tools; apply microarchitectural knowledge to isolate issues.
- Collaborate with performance modeling, validation and implementation teams to meet functional and PPA targets.
- Adopt and demonstrate team/core engineering behaviors and best practices.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience required and preferred.

Must-have: 7+ years experience in microprocessor, SoC, memory controller and/or interconnect IP design and verification.

Must-have: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Perl or similar) for test generation and automation.

Must-have: Knowledge of assertion-based languages (SystemVerilog Assertions) and UVM methodology.

Must-have: Experience with CPU or compute-subsystem memory micro-architecture.

Nice-to-have: Knowledge of DRAM specifications (LPDDR4/5, DDR4/5, HBM).

Nice-to-have: Familiarity with bus protocols (AMBA5 CHI, AMBA4 ACE, AXI).

Nice-to-have: Understanding of SoC systems and basic OS-level software interactions.
Education Requirements
