Staff Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The Industrial Converter Technology group develops signal-chain solutions for industrial applications. This role owns verification strategies and execution for complex mixed-signal and digital-signal ICs, from block to sub-system level.
Experience Level
Senior — 8+ years of experience in Analog and Mixed-Signal verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, and driving verification activities across projects and mentoring junior engineers.
- Define and develop block- and top-level verification strategies from design requirements and architecture.
- Create verification plans and build verification environments from scratch for multiple projects.
- Develop analog checkers, SystemVerilog assertions, functional coverage, and use formal verification to meet goals.
- Specify and run RTL, gate, and mixed-signal co-simulation regressions; track progress against verification plans.
- Work with designers, product/app engineers, and evaluation engineers to debug and correlate simulation and silicon results.
- Take ownership of complex feature verification and mentor junior verification engineers.
- Define and implement improvements to verification flow and methodology.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Extensive experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM and object-oriented verification methodologies.
- Experience with Verilog and SPICE simulators and mixed-signal simulation methodologies.
- Familiarity with analog CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and simulators like Xcelium.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, TCL, Perl, Bash).
- Strong understanding of constrained-random functional verification, coverage, and assertions.
- Experience with test-plan development, gate-level simulation and debug.
- Ability to understand circuit design and system-level architecture; strong debugging and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork skills, and experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
