Job Title
Staff Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Data Center and Energy verification team to lead pre-silicon and post-silicon verification for mixed-signal analog products. Collaborate with design engineers, internal technology groups and external vendors to deliver robust verification flows and improve team methodology.
Experience Level
Senior-level β requires 7+ years of relevant design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Contribute to pre-silicon verification of mixed-signal devices at full-chip and IP levels.
- Combine digital mixed-signal (DMS) and analog mixed-signal (AMS) techniques for metric-driven top-level verification.
- Bridge verification and validation environments and support post-silicon validation activities.
- Execute verification campaigns covering DMS, AMS, gate-level, IP-level and formal analysis to meet coverage goals.
- Establish, document and continuously improve verification flows, methodologies and models.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external vendors; support FPGA prototyping and pre-silicon validation scripting.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proven contributions to full-chip design verification of mixed-signal devices.
- Top-level DMS verification using SystemVerilog/UVM, object-oriented and randomized verification, and gate-level simulation.
- Top-level metric-driven AMS simulation experience and analog block modelling/validation (e.g. RNM, Verilog-AMS).
- Proficiency with Cadence tool suite (examples: Xcelium/Incisive/IMC, Virtuoso) and familiarity with gate- and AMS flows.
- Experience with verification planning tools (ePlanner/vManager) and scripting (Shell, TCL, Perl, Python).
- Experience with multiple clock and power domains and FPGA prototyping support.
- Strong verbal and written communication and ability to work with a global team.
- Willingness to travel (~10%).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with formal analysis and additional AMS modelling techniques.
- Prior work integrating vendor tools and workflows into verification flows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent) is stated; the posting also accepts equivalent practical experience. The role specifies 7+ years of relevant experience.
