Job Title
Staff Design Engineer - SoC
Role Summary
Technical contributor on a digital design team creating highly integrated mixed-signal SoCs for low-power MCU and wireless products. Work includes block architecture, RTL implementation, SoC integration, verification, and documentation.
Team works across digital, mixed-signal, RF, firmware, and system groups; office is located near Tai Seng MRT station in Singapore.
Experience Level
Senior β the posting specifies 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Design, integrate, verify, and document digital blocks and SoC infrastructure.
- Define block architecture and specifications; partition designs and determine implementation approach.
- Implement digital blocks in RTL following quality and coding guidelines.
- Integrate digital IP and mixed-signal/RF blocks into SoC infrastructure (bus matrix, memory interfaces, clocking, power/reset management).
- Perform block-level and SoC-level verification using directed, random, and assertion-based methods; include mixed-signal modeling and co-simulation as needed.
- Develop embedded firmware for SoC integration and validation.
- Prepare and review requirements, architecture, design, verification artifacts, and customer-facing documentation (reference manuals, datasheets).
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required or strongly preferred.
- Minimum ~5 years of relevant experience in digital/SoC design and verification.
- Experience with AMBA or other bus protocols and communication peripherals integration.
- RTL coding experience and familiarity with block-level and SoC-level verification methodologies (directed, constrained-random, assertion-based).
- Experience integrating mixed-signal and RF IP, and using mixed-signal modeling/co-simulation techniques.
- SoC infrastructure experience: bus matrix, memory interfaces, clocking, power and reset management.
- Ability to write embedded firmware for integration/validation tasks.
- Experience using AI-powered tools to improve productivity, analysis, or decision-making.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, or a related field (degree explicitly requested in the posting).
