Job Title

Staff Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Drive the architecture and delivery of complex Power Management ICs (PMICs). Provide technical leadership for major circuit blocks, mentor analog engineers, and represent the project team in customer and cross-functional technical discussions.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 8–12 years of relevant analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design experience.

Responsibilities

The role provides technical leadership across PMIC projects and ensures designs meet performance, area, power, and schedule targets.

  • Translate product requirements into system architectures and design strategies for power management products.
  • Lead design, simulation, verification, and layout supervision of CMOS power management circuits.
  • Own complex circuit block development, including feasibility assessment, task delegation, and design reviews.
  • Plan and lead laboratory evaluation activities in collaboration with Applications Engineering.
  • Develop high-quality technical documentation and IP deliverables for assigned circuits.
  • Drive improvements in circuit design techniques, methodologies, and power management capabilities.
  • Support design-for-test strategy, top-level verification, test development, and production ramp activities.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced engineers and proactively develop team capabilities.
  • Support customer-facing technical discussions and RFQ activities.
  • Perform other related duties as reasonably assigned by management.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and behaviors for success in this role.

  • 8–12 years' experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design with advanced technical knowledge of complex semiconductor projects.
  • Hands-on experience with CMOS power management circuit design and optimization for performance, area, and power.
  • Proven ability to select appropriate design methods, tools, techniques, and evaluation criteria to meet project objectives.
  • Experience leading or coordinating significant technical projects and multi-discipline design activities.
  • Experience supervising layout and coordinating verification and test activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver practical, commercially effective solutions under schedule pressure.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and customer-facing communication skills; cross-cultural awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across geographically distributed teams.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional international travel, including at short notice.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
