Job Title

STA (Static Timing Analysis) Design Intern

Role Summary

Work with the Static Timing Analysis team to evaluate timing margins of ASIC/SoC digital designs and help ensure chips meet target performance with no timing errors. The role supports timing analysis runs, constraint management, timing fixes and automation to improve flow efficiency.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for current undergraduate students (third-year or final-year). Requires commitment to an internship program and on-site attendance as noted below.

Responsibilities

Perform STA tasks and assist engineers across the design flow.

  • Execute and monitor static timing analysis runs; analyze slack and timing reports.
  • Identify and implement timing fixes for setup and hold violations.
  • Assist in creating, updating and debugging timing constraints and exceptions.
  • Develop scripts to automate and accelerate STA workflows.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, participate in reviews and document findings.

Requirements

Minimum required skills and commitments for the internship.

  • Available to work on-site approximately 4 days per week (hybrid model eligibility noted).
  • Available to commit to at least a 6-month internship term.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of digital logic, flip-flops, clock domains and CMOS circuit concepts.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and basic exposure to EDA tools.
  • Proficient in scripting (Tcl, Python, or Perl) and basic hardware description languages (Verilog or SystemVerilog).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.

Education Requirements
