Role Summary
Join the Central Layout Group supporting the Power & Energy business line with a focus on Automotive Power Solutions. Responsible for physical implementation of complex mixed-signal and power-management ICs from planning through tape-out while coordinating across global engineering sites.
Work emphasizes layout execution, verification/sign-off, and improving layout methodology to meet automotive and industrial product requirements.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include layout execution, verification/sign-off, and technical leadership across multi-site teams.
- Lead physical implementation of analog and mixed-signal ICs, including floorplanning and top-level assemblies.
- Define and optimize floorplans for complex blocks and top-level designs.
- Drive layout activities from planning through tape-out, ensuring design quality and robustness.
- Own DRC, LVS, ERC and physical sign-off activities.
- Support extraction analysis and post-layout verification; drive root-cause analysis and resolution of layout issues.
- Coordinate layout activities with Design, Verification, Package, Test and Product Engineering teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to layout methodology and best practices.
- Support project execution through planning, communication and risk management.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience are listed below; preferred skills follow.
- Proven experience in analog IC layout development.
- Expertise with Cadence Virtuoso layout environment.
- Experience with DRC/LVS sign-off methodologies and physical sign-off flow.
- Solid understanding of CMOS, BCD, SOI and mixed-signal design environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-collaboration skills; fluent written and spoken English.
Nice-to-have / Preferred:
- Experience with Calibre, PVS, Quantus, StarRC or equivalent EDA tools.
- Experience with automotive semiconductor products and high-voltage technologies.
- Experience in layout automation and scripting (SKILL, Python, TCL, Shell).
- Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience; experience in multi-site international R&D organizations.
- Interest in AI-assisted engineering and design productivity solutions.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or Microelectronics.
