SRAM Circuit Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate embedded SRAM macros and develop SRAM compiler automation within NVIDIA's Digital IP group. Collaborate with SOC design, silicon test, and productization teams to optimize power, performance, and area for advanced process nodes.
Experience Level
Entry-level (2+ years of relevant SRAM and digital circuit design experience)
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Transistor-level SRAM circuit design and overseeing layout implementation.
- Physical and logical verification and debugging of SRAM macros.
- Develop and enhance SRAM compiler automation to assemble and validate multiple SRAM macros efficiently.
- Research and implement techniques for optimal power, performance, and area (PPA) in future process nodes.
- Collaborate with SOC designers, silicon test, and productization teams to prepare designs for production and meet performance/cost targets.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 2+ years of SRAM design experience, including single-port, dual-port, or register-file macros and complex circuits (self-timed logic, sense-amplifiers).
- Strong background in digital circuit design, layout, and validation on advanced FinFET processes.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for data parsing and task automation.
- Proven track record of delivering designs to production.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Cadence schematic and layout capture tools.
- Silicon testing and debug experience.
- Advanced scripting expertise in Python.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) minimum or equivalent practical experience; MSEE or PhD preferred.
