SRAM Bitcell Engineer
Role Summary
Design, simulate and optimize SRAM bitcells for advanced CMOS nodes. Work within a cross-functional SRAM development team—collaborating with device, circuit architecture and process engineers—to meet performance, reliability and qualification targets across TI product lines.
Experience Level
Entry-level (0–2 years professional experience).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical execution, project support, and cross-team communication.
- Design and develop SRAM bitcells at advanced CMOS process nodes.
- Perform bitcell simulations and performance analysis across PVT corners.
- Define and review bitcell performance against specifications.
- Support qualification activities and reliability characterization.
- Contribute to project planning, track milestones, and maintain design documentation.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks; meet project deliverables and qualification standards.
- Coordinate with process and circuit architecture teams to align design and technology constraints.
- Present technical findings, participate in design reviews, and support technical discussions.
- Stay current with industry trends and propose process/design improvements.
Requirements

Must-have: 0–2 years experience in device/circuit design, process development, or SRAM design.

Must-have: Strong understanding of MOSFET device physics fundamentals.

Must-have: Working knowledge of SRAM bitcell design and basic circuit tradeoffs.

Must-have: Familiarity with advanced CMOS process technology.

Must-have: Proficiency with simulation tools (Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE, Sentaurus).

Must-have: Strong problem-solving, written/verbal communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.

Nice-to-have: Internship or co-op experience in semiconductor device/circuit design or process development.

Nice-to-have: Exposure to reliability issues at transistor/bitcell level (retention, soft errors) or silicon characterization/measurement experience.

Education Requirements
Ph.D. in device physics, electrical engineering, or a related field; OR a Master’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience. (Job lists Master's Degree as the degree level.)
