Job Title

Sr. Staff Test Engineering Manager

Role Summary

Lead Marvell's NPI test engineering function for complex multi-site SoCs across AI compute, server, and networking products. You will set test strategy, own ATE solution development, and coordinate cross-functional teams to enable first-pass silicon success and cost-effective production testing.

Experience Level

Senior-level manager. The posting indicates senior leadership experience; the role typically requires 10+ years of semiconductor test engineering and program leadership.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical direction and delivery of post-silicon and production test programs.

  • Define and drive test engineering strategy across wafer sort, characterization, and production for advanced multi-site SoCs.
  • Lead development of ATE test solutions on Advantest 93K and/or Teradyne platforms.
  • Establish best-known methods (BKMs) for post-silicon test development and first-time-right execution.
  • Specify test architecture and DFT/testability requirements in collaboration with Design and DFT teams.
  • Plan resources, build and develop a high-performing test engineering team across multiple programs.
  • Partner with Design, DFT, Product Engineering, Hardware, Firmware, and Manufacturing to resolve technical issues, optimize test programs, reduce test time, and improve yield.
  • Represent test engineering in program reviews, executive updates, and customer discussions.
  • Drive adoption of new tools, methodologies, and standardization to improve time-to-market and scalability.

Requirements

Key technical and leadership qualifications expected for immediate impact.

  • Must-have: Proven leadership in ATE testing, test methodology, DFT/DFM, and high-speed digital testing.
  • Must-have: Hands-on expertise with Advantest 93K and/or Teradyne UltraFLEX tester platforms.
  • Proven track record of leading NPI programs through to production releases.
  • Experience driving test program optimization, test time reduction, and yield improvement.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and strategic thinking combined with a hands-on execution mindset.
  • Experience with wafer sort, characterization, and production test environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Perl, Python, Java and working in Linux environments.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior experience with test standardization initiatives and tool/platform adoption at enterprise scale.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with ~10–15 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with ~7–12 years of relevant experience in semiconductor test engineering and leadership.
