Sr Staff Test Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Hi-Rel Space Product and Test Engineering Group in Palm Bay, FL to develop and transfer production test solutions for radiation-hardened integrated circuits used in the space industry. The role is primarily onsite and supports a production test floor, focusing on test methodology, hardware and software development, and production transfer.
Experience Level
Senior — 12+ years of experience in semiconductor automated test environments.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities span characterization, test-program development, hardware design, and production transfer.
- Define test requirements for new ICs in coordination with development engineers.
- Write characterization and production test programs.
- Design load/adapter boards and test hardware for automated test equipment (ATE).
- Develop PCB layouts and test schematics.
- Debug test programs and correlate production test results to bench measurements.
- Transfer test solutions to production and support onsite production test operations.
- Perform GR&R studies and transient/spike (de-glitch) analysis.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience; preferred items noted.
- 12+ years creating test solutions for automated test environments in the semiconductor industry.
- Hands-on experience with Analog, Mixed-Signal, and Power ICs (LDOs, buck regulators, PMICs, PWM controllers).
- Experience developing and debugging test programs and designing test hardware.
- Ability to correlate production test solutions with bench characterization and execute production transfer.
- Preferred: experience with ATE platforms such as 93k, Cohu DiamondX, ETS364, or Teradyne microFLEX.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
