Sr Staff Quality Assurance Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for product qualification, reliability monitoring, and ensuring product quality and compliance across design, manufacturing, and assembly. Works cross-functionally with Design, Test, Manufacturing, Reliability and FA labs, and Customer/Supplier Quality to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement.
Focus areas include defining and executing qualification plans, coordinating failure analysis, validating mitigations, and delivering qualification reports for production release.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing product qualifications, communicating results to stakeholders, and enabling robust product releases.
- Participate in milestone meetings from design kick-off through production transfer.
- Define, perform, and review qualifications for new products, design/material/process changes, and second-sources.
- Design and evaluate stress tests appropriate to product applications and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal specs, customer requirements, and standards (ISO, IATF, IEC, JEDEC, AEC, etc.).
- Communicate qualification plans and data with customers at silicon, package, and board levels.
- Participate in risk assessments (e.g., DFMEA) and verify implementation of mitigations.
- Review qualification results, assess risks, and approve production releases or changes.
- Coordinate failure analysis for qualification failures using electrical, mechanical, and materials techniques.
- Generate and publish qualification reports and ensure timely resolution of qualification issues.
- Capture lessons learned and drive feedback into design and process improvements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional attributes.
- Strong understanding of semiconductors and semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab, assembly, test).
- Knowledge of qualification methodologies and industry quality/reliability standards.
- Experience with failure analysis workflows and quality tools (FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis).
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global, cross-functional teams.
- Customer-focused, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver to timelines, quality, and cost targets.
Preferred:
- Prior team leadership experience.
- Familiarity with automotive or AI product customer quality requirements.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (or equivalent) and documented experience consistent with a senior role; the posting specifies 8+ years of relevant experience.
