Sr. Staff Project/Program Design

Role Summary

Lead end-to-end NPI (new product introduction) program management for AI and infrastructure power products, coordinating design, validation, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver products to market.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure program execution, ramp readiness, capacity expansion, and qualification for datacenter, AI, and Edge power solutions.

Experience Level

Senior. Minimum 10+ years semiconductor industry experience; at least 6+ years as an NPI Program Manager.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include program leadership, execution, and stakeholder communication:

  • Lead cross-functional teams (Design, Marketing, Systems & Applications, Validation, Product & Test Engineering, Firmware/Software, Supply Chain, Procurement, Packaging, Quality) for NPI product releases.
  • Plan, track, and execute programs from concept through market launch, including ramp readiness and safe launch activities.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, process discipline, and program governance; coordinate and conduct formal project gate reviews.
  • Coordinate capacity-expansion initiatives across global manufacturing sites with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Oversee wafer fabrication, assembly, test operations, and material logistics to meet schedule, cost, and quality targets.
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies; drive data-driven decision making.
  • Provide structured program updates to leadership highlighting status, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Drive process scalability and global standardization to strengthen execution discipline.

Requirements

Must-have technical and professional qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years in the semiconductor industry with proven program delivery experience; 6+ years as an NPI program manager preferred.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing flows, production processes, package architectures, and qualification activities.
  • Experience coordinating engineering, operations, supply chain, and OSAT partners.
  • Program/project management training or certification; proficiency with modern project management tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage complex, ambiguous programs, prioritize deliverables, and maintain disciplined schedules and plans.
  • Nice-to-have: prior experience at a fab or assembly site; experience with Controller, PoL, or Smart Power Stage programs.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required; PhD preferred.
