Job Title

Sr. Staff Product Engineer

Role Summary

Lead silicon validation for NVM/OTP IP and associated analog, power, controller, access port, and BIST blocks. Provide technical leadership for test-plan creation, programming algorithm development, data analysis, modeling, and failure analysis across Design Validation, Characterization, and Qualification phases.

Work with cross-functional engineering teams and external test labs to deliver qualification-ready test reports and improve test efficiency through automation.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 8+ years of semiconductor product/test engineering experience (NVM/OTP focus preferred).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing silicon validation, analyzing results, and improving test methodologies.

  • Lead silicon validation through Design Validation, Characterization, and Qualification.
  • Define test coverage strategies and perform DC/AC characterization with appropriate guard-banding.
  • Develop programming algorithms and memory test patterns for ATE.
  • Investigate functional and reliability failures; drive root-cause failure analysis (FA) projects.
  • Automate workflows, perform statistical analysis and data visualization, and produce test reports and models.
  • Collaborate with external test/reliability labs to complete qualification testing (HTOL/HTSL).
  • Drive continuous improvements in DOE methodology, test efficiency, and cost reduction through automation and innovation.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role.

  • 8+ years of hands-on semiconductor product/test engineering experience with a strong background in NVM products.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Spotfire, Minitab, or JMP.
  • Knowledge of memory fault models and advanced test methodologies for defect detection and reliability analysis.
  • Experience with semiconductor test lab equipment: memory ATE testers, automated handlers, oscilloscopes, waveform analyzers, and micro-probing stations.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python or Perl) and memory pattern/algorithm development for ATE MTO/ALPG hardware.
  • Proven ability to write clear silicon test reports and communicate results to engineering and product teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience mentoring junior engineers.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
