Role Summary
Senior DFT engineer responsible for defining and deploying design-for-test architecture and flows for complex SoCs. The role leads development of ATPG, MBIST, LBIST and analog test solutions and ensures testability and manufacturing efficiency across the silicon development lifecycle.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 8β12 years of hands-on DFT experience with leadership of DFT teams on SoCs.
Responsibilities
Key day-to-day and project responsibilities.
- Define and deploy DFT architecture for chips, including ATPG, MBIST, LBIST and analog test solutions.
- Develop and validate test patterns, focusing on reducing test time and improving manufacturing throughput.
- Lead scan insertion and integration of DFT features into the design flow.
- Design, implement and maintain repeatable DFT flows and reusable test IP.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to capture and integrate test requirements throughout the silicon lifecycle.
- Analyze test performance data and iterate on test strategies to improve coverage and efficiency.
- Document DFT specifications, standards and reuse strategies for future projects.
- Adhere to Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements in all activities.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 8β12 years of hands-on DFT experience with demonstrated leadership on SoC projects.
- Expertise in test pattern generation, ATPG, MBIST, LBIST, analog test development and scan insertion.
- Proven track record of optimizing test time and manufacturing test strategies.
- Experience designing and delivering repeatable DFT flows and reusable test IP.
- Proficiency with EDA tools such as Synopsys, Cadence and Mentor Graphics.
- Scripting proficiency (Python, Perl, TCL) for automation and flow integration.
- Strong analytical, organizational, leadership and communication skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
