Job Title

Sr. Staff Engineer, Analog Design

Role Summary

Lead architecture, transistor-level design, and silicon validation of high-performance analog and mixed-signal IP for advanced CMOS process nodes. Work cross-functionally with layout, verification, SoC integration and systems engineering across global teams to deliver reusable analog IP.

Experience Level

Senior - minimum 10+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal design as stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include end-to-end analog IP development, verification and silicon bring-up, plus technical leadership.

  • Drive design and development of complex analog and mixed-signal IP blocks.
  • Participate in and define architecture for analog/MS IP (signal chain and power-supply blocks).
  • Perform transistor-level schematic design, simulation and verification using industry-standard EDA tools.
  • Perform corner, Monte Carlo and reliability analyses to ensure robust PVT performance.
  • Drive design reviews, verification strategy and silicon validation; own deliverables for SoC integration.
  • Collaborate with layout, verification and system teams for parasitic-aware design and AMS simulations.
  • Define validation and characterization requirements; lead post-silicon bring-up and debugging.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship; establish analog design and verification best practices.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience (concise):

  • 10+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal design with proven delivery of complex analog IP from concept to silicon.
  • Deep understanding of CMOS analog fundamentals: noise, stability/compensation, device mismatch, variation, and low-power techniques.
  • Hands-on transistor-level design and verification using Cadence, Synopsys, Ansys and Virtuoso analog simulation environments.
  • Basic scripting/automation skills (Perl, Python) for design flows.
  • Proven silicon bring-up, debugging and lab-characterization experience; familiarity with lab equipment.
  • Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills; experience working in global, cross-disciplinary teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 applied to semiconductor IP/SoC development.
  • Experience with analog layout techniques.
  • Track record of technical publications or patents.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
