Sr. Staff Digital Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for developing and maintaining digital verification environments to validate RTL and gate-level designs. Work with a verification team in Shanghai to define verification architecture, run regressions, and close functional and code coverage.

Experience Level

Senior — minimum of 5 years' relevant verification experience as stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include creating verification infrastructure and executing verification activities to ensure design correctness.

• Design and develop verification environments and testbenches.
• Understand expected design functionality and translate into verification plans and tests.
• Improve verification architecture, flow, and automation.
• Run RTL and gate-level simulations and daily regression suites.
• Develop, analyze, and close functional and code coverage.
• Debug design and verification issues; write assertions and directed/stimulus tests.

Requirements

Core technical requirements and additional qualifications.

Must-have

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in digital verification.
• Proficient in SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification.
• Hands-on verification experience: test planning, testbench development, assertions, debugging, and coverage closure.
• Familiarity with UVM internals or key UVM mechanisms.
• Familiar with industry-standard verification tools and flows.
• Familiar with basic computer architecture concepts.
• Independent, self-managing, and able to work in a team.

Nice-to-have

• Scripting and automation skills (Python).
• Familiarity with C/C++/Java and object-oriented programming; knowledge of software design patterns.
• Experience setting up large verification environments (10K+ lines).
• Knowledge of mixed-signal verification.
• IC verification skills and basic logic/circuit design understanding; strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (CS) or Mechanical Engineering (ME) as stated in the posting.
