Job Title

Sr. Staff Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on front-end design and integration within the Radeon Technologies Group to enable first-pass silicon success. Collaborate with architecture, IP design, physical design and product engineering to implement and verify test and bring-up features.

Experience Level

Senior level. No explicit years-of-experience listed.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design-for-test implementation, verification, and post-silicon support.

  • Implement and verify DFT architecture and features.
  • Perform scan insertion and ATPG pattern generation.
  • Verify ATPG patterns using gate-level simulation.
  • Analyze test coverage and test cost; propose reductions to test cost where appropriate.
  • Provide post-silicon support to ensure bring-up success and drive yield learning.
  • Collaborate with architecture, IP, physical design and product teams to resolve design and test issues.

Requirements

Clear distinction between must-have and nice-to-have skills based on the posting.

  • Must-have: Experience in silicon design verification with responsibility for DFT or test-related verification and post-silicon bring-up support.
  • Must-have: Experience verifying test patterns with gate-level simulation and analyzing test coverage.
  • Must-have: Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of DFT methodologies and standards (for example IEEE 1500, JTAG 1149.x, scan, memory BIST).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Mentor testkompress and/or Synopsys Tetramax/DFTMAX.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with VCS simulation tool, Perl/Shell scripting, and Verilog RTL design.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
