Senior / Staff Application Engineer (Verification Tools)
Role Summary
Provide advanced technical support and drive adoption of verification tools for customers and internal teams. Lead tool migrations, bring up verification environments and verification IPs, resolve escalations, and mentor junior engineers across regions.
Work closely with R&D and global application engineering teams to ensure successful deployment and sustained customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Provide advanced technical support for EDA verification tools (VCS, Verdi, Spyglass, Certitude, Z01X).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues and escalations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Own tool migrations and bring up verification environments and Verification IPs.
- Collaborate with R&D, worldwide application engineers, and customers to gather requirements and drive product adoption.
- Develop technical documentation, lead knowledge transfer, and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to competitive strategy and help expand market share through strong customer relationships.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills.
- Must-have: Experience as a Design & Verification engineer or Application Engineer in the verification domain (source indicates 1+ years).
- Must-have: Strong knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog and UVM; experience with VHDL.
- Must-have: Experience with Verification IPs (e.g., AMBA VIP) and static and/or dynamic verification methodologies.
- Must-have: Excellent English communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and with customers.
- Must-have: Practical experience with tool migrations and bringing up verification environments.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with UPF, AI-assisted tools/features, and hands-on experience with Synopsys tools (VCS, Verdi, Spyglass, Certitude, Z01X).
- Nice-to-have: Demonstrated leadership in mentoring, onboarding, or leading technical initiatives.
