Sr. Software Engineer
Role Summary
Senior software engineer responsible for developing and maintaining machine control and inspection software for mask/reticle inspection systems in KLA's RAPID division. Work involves design, implementation, debugging and system integration of multi-threaded control software for semiconductor inspection equipment.

Responsibilities
The role focuses on software design, implementation and troubleshooting for inspection systems and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Design, implement and maintain C++ machine-control and inspection software.
- Develop and debug multi-threaded and multi-process systems; apply OOD/OOP and design patterns.
- Integrate software with electrical, mechanical, optical and algorithm teams; resolve system-level issues.
- Create and maintain interfaces and documentation for software components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot production and field issues; improve system reliability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement of development practices.
Requirements

- Must-have: Strong C++ programming skills, object-oriented design, and use of design patterns.
- Proven experience with multithreading/multiprocessing and concurrent programming.
- Strong software diagnostic, debugging and troubleshooting abilities in complex systems.
- Experience defining interfaces and working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Nice-to-have: Linux administration, UML, and experience with semiconductor fab operations or manufacturing technology.
