Senior Software Development Engineer

Role Summary

Temporary 2-year contract role on the Intel Server software team based in Guadalajara. Responsible for developing diagnostic, analysis, and validation tools to debug, optimize, and ensure high-quality server product launches and in-fleet behavior.

The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and customers to reproduce issues, drive validation tasks across platforms, and deliver actionable solutions.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 6+ years of relevant software development or validation experience as listed for this role.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain diagnostic and analysis tools to debug and optimize server performance.
• Define, plan, and drive critical software validation and CI/CD tasks across hardware/software platforms.
• Replicate, triage, and debug complex issues; produce impact assessments and remediation plans.
• Collaborate with firmware, platform, system software, and customer teams to resolve field and validation issues.
• Support performance analysis and use of hardware monitoring hooks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of validation processes and tooling.

Requirements

Must-have skills and constraints:

• 6+ years of software development experience, including debugging and validation work.
• Proficient in C/C++ with experience in object-oriented design and multithreaded programming.
• Experience with software validation practices and CI/CD workflows.
• Intermediate to advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Permanent, unrestricted right to work in Mexico and ability to work on-site in Guadalajara.

Nice-to-have:

• Low-level firmware coding and debugging experience.
• Familiarity with Intel Xeon architecture, un-core/platform components, and performance monitoring hooks.
• Experience with Linux/Windows internals, drivers, and runtime components.
• Customer validation and debug use-model experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related STEM field (as stated in the posting).
