Sr Reliability Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for planning and executing accelerated life testing, stress testing, and reliability analysis for semiconductor devices. Works with test engineers and customers to develop test plans, collect and analyze failure data, and produce reliability reports. Reports to the Site Reliability Director at the Richardson, TX site.

Experience Level

Senior - 5+ years of reliability testing experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test planning, execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Develop test plans based on customer requirements and internal specifications.
  • Measure and test electronic devices using semiconductor parametric test equipment.
  • Perform accelerated life testing and stress tests; run HAST, HTOL, TC, MSL as required.
  • Collect data and analyze failure statistics, including activation energy and lifetime modeling.
  • Prepare and present reliability reports to internal teams and external customers.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain test setups and test programs.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items are noted.

  • Must have: 5+ years of hands-on reliability testing experience.
  • Must have: Strong knowledge of DC and RF testing for semiconductor devices.
  • Must have: Experience with semiconductor parametric test equipment and test automation (LabVIEW, Visual Basic).
  • Must have: Strong mathematical and data-analysis skills; ability to compute failure rates and work with lifetime models such as Black's equation and TDDB linear field models.
  • Must have: Experience with stress-test methods (HAST, HTOL, Temperature Cycling, MSL).
  • Must have: Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Nice to have: Experience with statistical tools such as Minitab.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field is required.
