Role Summary
Senior Program Manager in the Micron Program Management Organization (PMO) responsible for leading product development programs for storage products (NAND, mNAND, SSD) from planning through qualification and ramp. The role directs cross-functional Product Development Teams to deliver schedule, quality, cost, manufacturing readiness and budget targets.
Experience Level
Senior β requires prior program management and semiconductor product development experience. Typical guidance from the posting: 3+ years program management experience and 5+ years semiconductor engineering or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
The Sr Program Manager will plan, coordinate, and drive product development programs and provide leadership across functional teams and global stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional Product Development Teams (NPI and mature products) and set program objectives and priorities.
- Capture product requirements with Business Unit representatives and align development targets with Engineering, R&D and BU.
- Define and maintain program milestones, schedules, KPIs, status reporting, and stage-gate readiness.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks; manage escalations and change requests.
- Coordinate sample delivery plans with Supply Chain for engineering and qualification samples.
- Drive product qualification, manufacturing hand-off, and product ramp activities.
- Provide regular program report-outs and communicate status to stakeholders and management.
- Facilitate lessons-learned and continuous-improvement activities to improve program and development processes.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills required to perform in the role.
Must-have:
- 3+ years of program management experience in a PM/PMO role.
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor engineering or an equivalent technical field, ideally with memory/storage product development background.
- Extensive knowledge of project and program management fundamentals, PM tools, and techniques.
- Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional global development projects and manage stakeholder alignment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel internationally if required and adjust working hours to overlap U.S. time zones on a project basis.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and accelerate tasks.
- Prior experience specifically with NAND, mNAND, SSD product cycles or supply-chain interactions for storage products.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
