Sr Product Testing Engineer
Role Summary
Member of the manufacturing/test engineering team responsible for driving yield improvement, reducing test costs and ensuring product quality and manufacturability across the product lifecycle.
The role interfaces with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT partners to resolve production issues, perform qualifications and sustain production.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting requests more than 3 years of experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in Test Product Engineering, Test Engineering, or Product Engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Review low-yield production lots, provide disposition decisions, drive root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT to resolve production issues and maintain production flow.
- Execute sustaining activities to improve lot rejection rates and reduce EQA hold rates; support SYL/SBL sustaining.
- Perform qualification and validation of new products and manage tester platform migrations.
- Lead yield-improvement and gross-margin initiatives related to test and product performance.
- Support system integration and other engineering activities related to product test and production readiness.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required and preferred.
- Must-have: >3 years experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing in test/product engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of test methodology for analog/digital/power products, failure analysis, reliability testing and RCA.
- Proficiency with statistical and data-analysis tools (examples: JMP, Spotfire).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Nice-to-have: experience with module devices; programming experience (Visual Basic, C++); familiarity with ATE tester platforms such as Teradyne ETS364/Flex or Advantest.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field is required by the posting.
