Senior Product & Test Engineer

Role Summary

Deliver product and test engineering support for manufacturing and NPI at the Bayan Lepas site. Primary focus includes yield improvement, failure analysis, test-time optimization, qualification activities, customer return evaluation, and test hardware/program development.

Experience Level

Senior level. The posting requests at least 5 years of experience in a semiconductor environment, with prior experience as a Product or Test Engineer.

Responsibilities

Key duties include supporting manufacturing, NPI, qualification, and return analysis activities.

• Support manufacturing: low-yield analysis and improvement, failure analysis, and test-time optimization.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) projects.
• Support product and process qualification projects.
• Evaluate customer returns (RMA); perform failure analysis using ATE and bench diagnostics and document corrective actions (8D, CAR).
• Lead cost-optimization initiatives related to product and test.
• Develop, validate, and troubleshoot test hardware and test programs.

Requirements

Essential skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a semiconductor environment as a Product or Test Engineer.
• Proven experience with manufacturing support, FA, yield improvement, NPI, qualification, and RMA investigations.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting test hardware and test programs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, high initiative, and ability to multitask.
• Familiarity with ATE platforms or test programming; examples cited: Advantest V93K, Teradyne ATE, or proficiency in relevant programming languages.

Education Requirements

"E&E graduate" is specified: a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (E&E) is expected. No additional degrees, fields, certifications, or explicit equivalent-experience language were provided.
