Sr Product Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Product Engineer will support development and production of semiconductor power products (power management ICs, smart power stages) from NPI through high-volume production. The role collaborates with design, test, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams to ensure robust qualification, yield, and product performance.
Experience Level
Senior — typically requires 5+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering, test engineering, or related roles.
Responsibilities
Accountable for product engineering across the product lifecycle and for driving improvements in yield, test, and quality.
- Lead NPI activities: silicon bring-up, characterization, qualification, production release, and sustaining.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex product, test, and manufacturing issues.
- Define and execute characterization and qualification strategies to ensure robust product release.
- Analyze yield, parametric, and reliability data to identify trends and corrective actions.
- Partner with design and test teams to optimize DFT, test coverage, and correlation (bench vs ATE vs system).
- Drive improvements in yield, test efficiency, product performance, and cost of quality.
- Support customer issues, field escalations, and cross-functional problem resolution.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor team members.
Requirements
Essential skills and experience for the role.
- 5+ years in semiconductor product engineering, test engineering, or related roles.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry; preference for power, analog, or mixed-signal products.
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle from NPI through sustaining.
- Experience with ATE, silicon characterization, and production environments.
- Strong data analysis skills (JMP, Python, MATLAB or similar).
- Proven track record solving complex technical and yield-related issues.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to influence product, test, and manufacturing decisions using data-driven insights.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
