Sr. NPI Test Engineer

Role Summary

Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) test activities at subcontractor (OSAT) factories. Support setup and review of manufacturing test processes, qualify test hardware, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yield and reduce test cost.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies a minimum of 3 years of experience in semiconductor product and test engineering.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on NPI test execution, process qualification, and cross-functional support at subcontractor factories.

• Lead NPI test activities and coordinate with business-line engineering, test designers, planners, and suppliers.
• Support setup, review, and qualification of manufacturing and test processes at subcontractor sites.
• Drive qualification of new test hardware and support security testing certification at OSATs.
• Analyze test data and support yield-improvement projects and test-cost reduction efforts.
• Provide technical support for test-related issues and test procedures at subcontractor factories.
• Participate effectively in multicultural and cross-functional team meetings; communicate findings and recommendations clearly.

Requirements

Key skills and experience required or strongly preferred.

• Must-have: Minimum 3 years' experience in semiconductor product and test engineering.
• Must-have: Basic problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team and independently.
• Must-have: Good communication and organizational skills; adaptable in dynamic situations.
• Must-have / willing to learn: Knowledge of or willingness to learn digital and mixed-signal test methodologies.
• Must-have / willing to learn: Experience with or willingness to learn ATE testers, handlers, or probers.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with tester software and test programs (Advantest, Teradyne) and test data analysis.
• Nice-to-have: Experience supporting security testing certification processes and test cost reduction projects.

Education Requirements

Minimum university degree in Engineering.
